Reacting to the news that Corus have announced a 90 day consultation on mothballing the Steel Plant at Redcar, Conservative parliamentary candidate for Middlesbrough South & East Cleveland, Paul Bristow has said:
"This is devastating news for workers at the Redcar plant and their families. The loss of the Corus site would be a bitter blow for Teesside. I hope during the 90 day consultation, all efforts will be made to minimise the number of jobs at risk at the plant, and as much help and support as possible is made available to the workers.''
I want to thank everyone who has worked so hard on my campaign over the past 18 months. I owe you all a huge debt of gratitude.
