The Prime Minister has now named the date for the General Election as Thursday 6^th May 2010 – and I am very proud and honoured to have accepted the Conservative nomination to be the next Member of Parliament for Middlesbrough South & East Cleveland.
 
You have an important choice to make, one which may shape the closest election of recent years.  Middlesbrough South & East Cleveland is a straight two way fight between the Conservatives and Gordon Brown& 39;s Labour candidate.
 
We need an MP who will fight for our area and the people who live here.  Over the past 18 months I have done my best to show that I am open, honest and straight talking about the important issues we face as a country and a community.
 
We urgently need change and a fresh start for our politics.  I believe I am the person to help bring that change and have shown I have the drive, passion and experience to make it happen.  My name is Paul Bristow, and I want to be your new MP.
