25/04/10 - Cameron visits Teesside

David Cameron visited Teesside and accused Labour of "taking the North-East for granted" during a question and answer session held at Stockton Sixth Form college.

Mr Cameron said: "I hope that will break down because we have had 13 years of successive Labour governments and during that period we've had inequality getting worse and more people getting stuck in deep poverty.

"Recently we've seen the problems with Corus and I think that Labour just take the North-East for granted. If you want change then you've got to make a different choice.

"If you look at this campaign you see the Conservatives out there on the streets offering change and Labour are in retreat."
