The £230 million Cambourne to Cambridge (C2C) busway is a deeply flawed project that threatens to carve through our countryside while failing to provide the transport solutions local people actually need.
At a packed meeting in Cambourne, I made my stance clear: If I become Mayor, this busway will NOT go ahead. Instead, we need real, effective transport solutions.
🔴 Scrap the C2C Busway
🚫 STOP the Greater Cambridge Partnership (GCP) – They've pushed through bad ideas for too long.
🚫 BIN the Busway – Our green spaces shouldn’t be sacrificed for an overpriced, unwanted project.
✅ A Smarter Alternative
✅ USE existing roads – A better bus route that doesn’t destroy our landscape.
✅ INVEST in Light Rail – A long-term solution that actually benefits Cambourne, Cambridge, and beyond.
This election is our chance to stop the C2C busway before it’s too late. But I need to hear from you. What do you think?
