Championing Peterborough again today in Parliament.
I introduced a debate on the merits of an innovation centre for energy transition in Peterborough. I put forward the case for this project to go ahead in our City.
This new research institute at our new University site will put Peterborough on the map - rivalling some of the top R&D centres around the world.
This is a fantastic opportunity for Peterborough and the UK as a whole. We are even rivalling places such as Texas with our business case for this centre.
It will bring high skilled, high wage JOBS to our City and accelerate the progress we are already making with hundreds of millions of pounds of investment across the city in recent years.
I met the Minister after the debate - and will bring all parties together to make the case.
